Hello everyone,

My name is Samuel Hill and I am an amateur radio operator licensed for 11 years but only recently having done much in the hobby. Currently a Technician but I have been studying for the General exam for a bit and I plan on taking the exam for that soon. My main interest in the hobby is the scientific aspects of radio propagation and rag chewing. To that effect, I have an interest in working DX and operating QRP which I plan to get more into once I get my General license.

I mostly can only operate radios at night due to my job and other obligations. I probably wont be the most active.

Thanks.

Hey Samuel, and welcome. If you haven’t spent time at http://www.hamradiolicenseexam.com/index.html, you may want to consider it. It’s how I passed both my General and Extra. It uses adaptive questioning, so as you consistently get answers correct, it stops showing you those questions and moves on to other questions. It is fee based, yet super reasonable imho.

I have been using https://hamstudy.org/ to study but will check out this, thanks. I think at this time I am prepared for the General and will try to take it at BRAG's testing event on May 9th. Working on also studying for my Extra license so that I may be able to take both at the same time as well.
