The Bluffton Radio Club is a local organization dedicated to three primary missions:
  1. Encouraging young people to become involved in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) through amateur radio.
  2. Supporting community members in obtaining their FCC amateur radio licenses.
  3. Providing trained emergency communications support to the Bluffton community when traditional systems are disrupted.
Amateur radio is more than a hobby — it is a federally licensed public service. During hurricanes, severe weather events, infrastructure outages, and other emergencies, amateur radio operators often provide critical communications when cellular and internet systems are unavailable or overloaded. Across the country, local radio clubs partner with municipalities, hospitals, shelters, and businesses to strengthen community resilience.

We welcome you to join the club, attend a meeting, attend a training class, and earn your own amateur radio license!
